Are you in the right place?

If you're looking for Steve Lindley Aviation IT Services' site click here.

This is Steve Lindley's personal site. I spent my working life in the British Army up to 1969 and then as a aircraft maintenance technician / technical sales person in the Middle East and SE Asia up to returning to the UK in 1982 to work in aviation marketing, technical management, logistics support and software development until my (final) retirement in 2010

I'm married to Parvin for the last 41 years (bloody miracle) and have two grown-up children, Greg who has followed in my footsteps and currently works as a helicopter maintenance technician in South-East Asia, and Kreshmeh who also works in Aviation with Helispares Ltd here in Andover, Hampshire.

We have four grandchildren, Rhiannon, Owen, Alex and Tony.

I have two main hobbies which as well as my family, are the focus of this personal web site:

Photography

I bought my first camera in 1964 whilst in the army. I then owned a succession of film cameras over the years up to 2004 when I went fully "digital"

It wasn't always possible to carry or use a camera so despite travelling around much of the world during my career I have a lot more memories than photos!

The images in the photographic section of this web site are split into "Public" and "Private" areas. The private area comprises mainly family photos, current and past. If you are a family member or friend, please ask me for a password to enable access into the private area. Please feel free to let me have additional family photos for this section.

Aeromodelling

I've been building and flying model aircraft since childhood. Again somewhat intermittently as the exigencies of life interfered. The aeromodelling section is mainly a photographic storyboard of my aeromodelling "career". If it weren't for the photographs, I'd probably have forgotten most of it.

I'm membership secretary of, and webmaster for, the Army Air Corps Centre Model Aircraft Club - See the link in the Aeromodelling menu.
